Planted paths promoting gentle travel are being built, as are the media library and the village hall, located near the station, the construction of which should be completed in the fall.&nbsp ;

"For this urban renovation, the town hall has enlisted the services of a renowned town planner, Joan Busquets (Bau B agency) . A guide plan was also established with support from the SPL 30",  explains Robert Crauste, mayor of Grau-du-Roi, in evoking the overall approach to this requalification of the city center which has been taking place for several months in different phases.

 "Current works  concern the aisles of the station. They follow the developments already carried out on avenues Pompidou and Dossenheim as well as Place Revest.  This connection will connect avenue Simone-Veil, to the west of the station, to the station alley to the east, ;nbsp;and will continue  until the future eco-district. A path which will eventually be vegetated and shaded, giving pride of place to gentle travel.

 "This will be a central, very structuring link which will connect  numerous facilities: the station and the multimodal exchange hub, schools, the Palace of Sports and Culture, the  communal village hall and the intercommunal media library under construction" continues the mayor.

Vegetation of paths  in the fall

Robert Crauste also discusses the installation of a work"heritage, artistic and fun on the theme of fishing", commissioned from a Danish company, which will be installed on this route. < /p>

The station driveway should be completed in June, before the influx of holidaymakers. But they will not yet be vegetated: the plantings, logically, will be done in the fall. 

The station is a central element of this project. The rails located downstream of the building, towards Place Revest (to the south, towards the beach) will be removed at the end of the year. "This part will  transformed into a green penetrant which should bear the name of Robert Badinter",  continues Robert Crauste., "we will then continue with the planting of trees on avenue Simone-Veil".  

Trains will stop 80 m upstream from the station

This operation will lead to changes to the train stops: the stop will be moved 80 m upstream of the station and the platforms will therefore have to be extended. The footbridge located at the station will be removed.

"Che new developments consume parking spaces: we are therefore working in parallel on a parking optimization plan . A study was notably launched for a silo car park between the arenas and the railway.
