This Tuesday, September 10, business leaders, institutions and local elected officials will debate local economic news.

The 14th edition of the Economic Back-to-School, organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of Gard, will be held on Tuesday, September 10 at Mas Merlet from 6:30 p.m. This event marks the economic recovery of the department, with a particular focus on the construction sector, under the theme “When the building goes, everything goes” A round table will bring together experts such as Céline Torres (Torres group), Jacques Gaudibert (real estate expert), Pierre Martin (president of the French Building Federation), and Romain Tissot (director of Tissot Immobilier), to discuss the challenges, prospects and state of play of the economic news.

“For many, this event is essential”

For this 14th edition, the CCI du Gard has decided to put the spotlight on the construction sector building due to its significant impact on the local economy. “It is essential to question the players in the sector to be as close as possible to their issues, their commitments and potential complementarities for the coming year”, explains Laure Tissot Schneller, elected CCI Gard services representative.

This event is also intended to be a time for exchange between elected officials, business leaders, and local decision-makers, thus promoting networking and collaboration. With over 650 registered participants (compared to 450 last year), the event promises to be an unmissable event for economic players in the Gard. “We are delighted to see that, for many, this event is essential”, she adds.

A need for stability for Gard businesses

Eric Giraudier, president of the Gard CCI, underlines the importance of this meeting: “Business leaders need to get together. Their large presence demonstrates their desire to participate in this type of event“. He specifies that, despite good momentum in the first half of the year, recent political events have created a lack of visibility and stability, thus slowing down investments and business projects.

The evening will end with a showcase of local products, celebrating the riches of the Gard region. Jean-Luc Chauvin, president of the CCI Aix-Marseille-Provence will also be present to highlight the important economic links between the Gard and the Bouches-du-Rhône.

Tuesday, September 10 from 6:30 p.m. at Mas Merlet. Registration open
