Gard Assizes: Abdelkader, 17, shot dead, his overwhelmed family present at the trial

The victim's family has joined the trial as a civil party, where nine defendants are due to appear. 

The victim's relatives are full of praise for the kindness and honesty of Abdelkader S., who was shot dead after a shootout that took place at Mas de Mingue on January 25, 2021. On the civil party bench, the parents, brothers and sisters of   the teenager emphasizes that Abdelkader had ambitions and was hardworking. He was studying auto body repair, says one of his brothers. The family says that they are trying to grieve and that the trial, despite the ordeal it represents, will allow them to take a step forward in this process. A victim assistance dog is present in the courtroom to assist Abdelkader's sister. The trial is still waiting to start.
