For the first time, the City of Béziers entrusts the management of its halls to a private company, Biltoki. More transparency on the contract and details on the management conditions of the halls had been requested by the elected representatives of the opposition, during the last municipal council of the year. &nbsp ;The municipal decision validating this famous contract was finally published shortly after, on December 28.

It’s now official: the management contract between the City of Béziers and the Biltoki company, for the management of the halls, has been validated and signed. The conditions of this management, which greatly agitated the debates of the last municipal council of the year, are therefore decided.

And this famous contract with the company based in Anglet, in the South-West, was signed.

A 4-year contract

As a reminder, in broad terms, Robert Ménard had already confirmed to Midi Libre, shortly after the council, a few important elements: the contract will extend over 4 years, "including the year in course". This contract provides for the payment of 425,000 € of the municipality in Biltoki each year, for 4 years, for the provision of commercial animation of the place. A seminar room will notably be managed by Biltoki. And the rent paid by Biltoki to the City would thus only be indexed to the activity and turnover generated directly by the company.

"It is not possible to find the contents of the contract"

Three people will be hired full-time to "take care of traders, find them, replace them…", ensure promotion and communication of the halls.

Very upset on this subject, the elected communist Nicolas Cossange questions, in a press release: "But what does the interested management contract with Biltoki entail ?
