The Jean-Jaurès school in Bagnols-sur-Cèze celebrates the Olympic Games for a week

The opening ceremony took place this Friday, March 29 at the Jean-Jaurès school in Bagnols-sur-Cèze with a parade, sporting events and songs.

The Jean-Jaurès school in Bagnols-sur-Cèze is organizing an Olympic week. This Friday, March 29, 262 students participated in the opening ceremony. They were divided into different teams to represent delegations. The young Bagnolais, accompanied by the entire teaching team, took a relay in the playground to cover 2024 meters. They then carried an Olympic flame made in class before coming together to sing the Marseillaise and other Olympic songs.

Next week, the teachers will go around the classes to talk about the history of the Olympic Games. Children will also be introduced to breakdancing and table tennis, two Olympic disciplines. Olympic week will end on Friday, April 5, with a grand closing ceremony.
