Football: in the semi-final, Asfac will visit an old acquaintance

Ce mercredi 27 mars, le sort a désigné l’AS Lattes, chez elle, comme le futur adversaire des Frontignanais en demi-finale de la Coupe de l’Hérault.

The Muscatier club will once again be part of the last four of a competition which is quite often successful. The trophy currently sits in the headquarters window. Spared during the previous rounds, the team led by Greg Tanagro, however, remains much more concerned about its situation in the championship. Even if the recent results are positive, nothing has yet been done regarding maintenance, far from it.

Distrust

The quarter-final against Sussargues demonstrated that the Cup could transcend any opponent, that the level of the clubs sometimes meant nothing. It was only in the last quarter of an hour that the Muscatiers actually managed to make the difference.
When the draw was revealed, many alumni remembered some confrontations between the "Fluos" de Lattes and the "Bleu et blanc"&nbsp ;from Frontignan. The worst memory remaining, of course, in 2008 with a final lost sharply at the Stade de la Méditerranée in Béziers.

Today, the Latvians are vegetating in R2 and have been doing so for several years now. Fourth in Pool A, they took out Baillargues in the quarter-final and did not meet any League club in the previous rounds. However, with only one defeat in 2024, AS Lattes deserves respect and imposes distrust.

To this day, we still do not know if the Muscatiers will change their costume for the occasion. The "flashy" colors, neon and purple, seem to work for them.
